Professor Mike O'Connor AM has a Masters Degree in Forensic Medicine from Monash University with a sub specialty interest in sexual assault and child sexual abuse.
He is an associate member of the Faculty of Clinical Forensic Medicine of the Royal Australian College of Pathologists.
Recent expert evidence in court cases has included:
- Historic child sexual abuse
- Historic adult sexual assault with 2 year old forensic evidence
- Recent multiple episodes of adult sexual assault involving the same victim
- Recent multiple sexual assailants of the same victim
