Areas of expertise include expert evidence in cases of cerebral palsy, gynaecological mishaps as well as matters for medical registration boards.

Dr Mike O'Connor AM is an accredited expert witness in general obstetrics and gynaecology for the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Dr Mike O'Connor AM is a section editor for the Journal of Law and Medicine where he has published many papers.

Dr Mike O'Connor AM has recently finished a chapter for the new Handbook of Legal and Forensic Medicine on Doctors and Torture

Medicolegal cases ($940 per hour +GST)

As of 1 July 2024 the fee for Medicolegal cases will be $980 + GST per hour.

Fee for court attendance as expert witness: $5500.00  per diem ( as at January 2024)

Dr Mike O'Connor AM has had extensive training in Health Law (Masters) as well as being a Fellow of the Australasian College of Legal Medicine. He is the Vice President of the ACLM.

He also undertakes regular continuing Medico Legal education with the Australasian College of Legal Medicine.

Dr Mike O'Connor AM works extensively as an expert witness  for defendants and plaintiffs.
